2025–2026 School Sanitation and Infrastructure Development

Education Infrastructure & Sanitation

Total funds raised and utilized amounting to ₹18,73,826/- towards sanitation and school development.

  • Construction of 20 toilets and a sewage disposal tank at Kovur Government Girls' High School (via Namma School Foundation).
  • ₹4,00,000 spent on constructing toilets for boys and girls at Government Primary School, Alapakkam.
  • ₹1,01,000 donated to Government Elementary School, Thottiyum, Trichy for the renovation of classrooms.
2024–2025 The Banyan Rehabilitation Center Support

Support for The Banyan

Major contributions towards the rehabilitation and care of vulnerable members of society.

  • ₹11,00,000 donated to THE Banyan, a rehabilitation centre for the mentally ill homeless women.
  • Student-led fundraising initiatives and community welfare support.
2023–2024 Infrastructure Development

Infrastructure & School Development

Students and staff raised a sum of ₹17,81,735/-. Registered with the Namma School Foundation for developing government schools with private participation.

  • Constructed new toilets for boys at Kovur Government Boys High School.
  • Constructed toilets for both boys and girls at Government High School, Kolapakkam.
2022–2023 Flood Relief and Support

Flood Relief & Educational Support

Spent ₹3,10,000/- and contributed 1,000 Nos. 5 Kg Rice Bags at Manikanda Nagar & Gangaiamman Nagar towards flood relief. Students and staff raised ₹16,33,784/-:

  • Utilized ₹7,50,109/- towards renovation of four classrooms at Govt (ADW) Higher Secondary School, Padhuvanchery.
  • Utilised ₹6,26,000/- to construct 14 toilets for girls at Government Higher Secondary School, Anakaputhur.
  • Donated ₹3,00,000/- to Paradise Home, a special school for the mentally challenged.
2020–2021 Sanitation Development

Sanitation Development

Raised a sum of ₹13,19,296/- which was used to construct toilets for Ayyasamy School (Govt aided) - 5 nos. and TB Hospital, Tambaram Sanatorium - 9 nos.

2018–2019 Distress Relief Fund

Distress Relief Fund

The Correspondent met Kerala Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan at the Kerala secretariat and handed over a cheque for ₹17,00,000/- contributed by students and staff towards the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.

2017–2018 Sanitation & Infrastructure

Sanitation & Infrastructure

Students raised a sum of ₹11,00,000/-:

  • Built 28 toilets for the underprivileged in and around Pallavaram and Chromepet.
  • Constructed 12 toilets for Aiyyasamy Aiyar, a Govt. Aided School in Chromepet, by spending ₹3,00,000/-.
  • Spent ₹1,00,000/- towards constructing 3 toilets in Kumaran Kundram Temple.
2016–2017 Education & Social Welfare

Education & Social Welfare

Students raised a sum of ₹10,53,991/-:

  • Donated ₹5,25,000/- to M/s. Lawrence Charitable Trust, Chennai.
  • Spent ₹2,14,723/- to set up a library in Govt. Adi Dravidar Welfare High School, Puliyanthope.
  • Contributed ₹1,68,000/- to Pitt Mac Vocational Centre, Puliyanthope towards purchase of computers, sewing machines, etc.
  • Provided lunch for 2,500 students to Sevalaya orphanage amounting to ₹1,25,000/-.
  • Go Green Project – ₹21,268/-.
2015–2016 Chennai Floods & Swachh Bharat

Chennai Floods & Swachh Bharat

  • Donated 1,000 blankets, rice bags, and supplied food to the poor and needy during the Chennai Floods.
  • Students raised ₹10,15,800/- which was used to construct 50 toilets for the underprivileged under the Swachh Bharat Project.
2014–2015 Sanitation & Drinking Water

  • Students raised ₹9,13,580/- donated to World Vision India for sanitation and drinking water facilities in Government schools.
  • Donated ₹15,000/- to Good Life Centre, Tambaram, a home for abandoned children.

School Support

Students raised ₹8,76,294/- and the Management contributed ₹1,23,706/- (Total ₹10,00,000/-), which was donated to Sri Aiyaswami Aiyar High School, Chennai-44.

Students raised ₹7,50,000/- distributed as follows:

  • World Vision – ₹3,50,000/-
  • Tree Guards – ₹4,00,000/- (1,111 saplings planted in Chitlapakkam and Chromepet)
  • The Spastics Society of Tamil Nadu – ₹3,50,000/-
  • Chennapuri Annadana Samajam – ₹2,00,000/-
  • Aalayam, Home for abandoned children – ₹1,15,000/-
2010–2011 Organization Support

Charitable Contributions

Students raised a sum of ₹6,15,000/-. A sum of ₹2,05,000/- was donated to each of three designated organizations.

2009–2010 Therapy & Medical Support

Therapy & Medical Support

Raised a sum of ₹5,50,000/-: ₹3,00,000/- to RASA (dance therapy for challenged children), ₹2,50,000/- to the children’s wing of Cancer Institute, Adyar, ₹50,000/- to ‘Ray of Light Foundation’, ₹25,000/- to Vishvadaan, and ₹25,000/- to Lawrence Charitable Trust. Also donated appliances and bedsheets to three orphanages.

2003–2008 Early Milestones

Includes TANKER Foundation medical aid collections (₹3,19,087/-), Tsunami Relief Fund contribution (₹1,50,000/-), HelpAge India collections (₹1,74,080/-), Kargil Army Welfare Fund (₹35,000/-), and traditional annual rice/provision donation drives for orphanages and old-age homes.
